Day One staff, supporters and friends had a blast participating in Pasadena's first major Open Streets event, which was organized by the Los Angeles based non-profit cicLAvia on Sunday May 29th from 9am-4pm. Our team helped activate the Raymond Ave. "hub" near the Gold Line Del Mar Station and Central Park by providing a host of free activities, including Zumba and Yoga classes, music, hoola-hoops, chalk art, healthy fruit- and veggie-infused waters, and bananas! However, nothing does the day justice better than a few snapshots of the many kids (young and old, big and small) who stopped by our healthy play zone! If you missed this one, be sure to SAVE THE DATE - Sunday June 26, 2016 - when the Cities of South Pasadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale and Azusa will host their own open streets event along the new Gold Line Foothill Extension to Azusa! We will definitely be DOing something fun, healthy and cool there!
