Without a doubt the sun’s rays were shining down on Pasadena as it has been the last couple of weeks and even with this tremendous heat, local youth gathered together for the first ever Game Day, an event hosted through the collaboration of the Ambassadors Program, the City of Pasadena, Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, Friday Night Live, and Day One. Around 40+ youth attended and every single one of them was able to enjoy the day, whether it was on the field playing softball or playing board games under the shade, there was something for everyone to do. It was a great opportunity for other youth to get to know each other outside of school and to just have a blast. There was a DJ, food, T-shirt making, raffles, an inflatable jumper, a photo booth, everything you needed to stay involved. It wasn’t only just the youth that got to have fun, staff joined in as well especially during the water fight. No one was spared. The water fight had to be one of the best parts of the day, everyone participated, and it was exciting. We appreciate everyone that came out to support and made this possible.
